PLUSCON - industrial plug connectors
For you as a switch cabinet or device manufacturer, the challenge is how to save even more time and money in system installations. PHOENIX CONTACT provides a modern, comprehensive range of industry plug connectors for all applications: PLUSCON - connector plus ideas. With Pluscon, you can accomplish all device connections economically in IP 65 - even with a direct p.c.b. connection.
The PLUSCON range includes:
- PLUSCON-VC: VARIOCON, the square plug connector for housing feed throughs in IP 65 with variable contact inserts - for screw or p.c.b. connection.
- PLUSCON-RC: round plug connectors in metal with signal and power contacts. For industrial applications, the compact connectors are all IP 67 and EMC protected.
- PLUSCON-SACB and SAC: the sensor/ actuator boxes and the extensive range of cables set new standards in distributed field cabling: with a permanently connected master cable or for free assembly.
- PLUSCON-HC: for the proven connection of power and control conductors in heavy-duty operation.
- PLUSCON-HCM: the modular plug connector for heavy-duty operation in which electricity and pneumatics can be mixed.
COMBICON - PCB Connection Technique and Electronic Housings
When it is a matter of having a rational, easy-to-maintain and clear p.c.b. connection, the printed circuit terminal blocks and the COMBICON range from PHOENIX CONTACT are the first choice. They provide a flexible solution for all the wiring requirements of device manufacturers and p.c.b. processors. Together with the electronic housings, both ranges open up an infinite number of possibilities of "packing" printed circuits and connecting them to the device peripherals.
Due to its simple handling, the PHOENIX CONTACT range of printed circuit terminal blocks is regarded worldwide as the standard for reliable and economical single conductor wiring of printed circuit boards. In addition to the versions with metric and inch pitches of 2.54 to 10.16 mm for horizontal, vertical, angled and front conductor entry, we also offer variants with screw, spring and insulation displacement connections, as well as special designs for particular requirements, e.g. SMD or press-in technology.
Due to its the great variety, the COMBICON range of screw plug connectors from PHOENIX CONTACT offers an almost inexhaustible number of possibilities for connections: it is not only available with multi-position p.c.b. connections in solder or press-in technology, but also as a feed through variant or rail-mountable plug connector with screw or spring connection.
The advantages:
- Easy-to-maintain pluggability plus the universality of a sturdy screw connection.
- Linear configuration of the positions; 2 to 24-position with clearly legible marking.
- Optimal plug and pull direction.
- Can be coded without loss of positions.
TRABTECH - Surge voltage protection
Surge voltages often destroy electronic equipment and systems. But we expect permanent availability - be it simply for reasons of higher productivity at the work place. A comprehensive concept for surge voltage protection, which not only encompasses the power supply, but also all other circuits of the equipment to be protected, helps to avoid costly damage and system down time.
A circuit works at the designated voltage without disturbance. A damaging voltage is any voltage increase which leads to an exceeding of the tolerance threshold of the nominal voltage. This includes transient surge voltages arising as a result of switching operations and lightning discharge, and inductive, galvanic or capacitive coupling in an electric system. Transient surge voltages have very fast rise times of a few us and relatively slow decay times ranging from several 10 us to several 100 us.
Damage as a result of surge voltage can be avoided by very quickly short circuiting the conductors in which such high voltages occur with the equipotential bonding, but only for the moment in which the surge volt-age is present. This is done with components such as surface discharge arresters, gas-filled surge voltage arresters, varistors and suppressor diodes. Depending on the application, they are available individually or in combination circuits as surge protection devices and are connected between the active conductors of the operating circuit and ground.
All surge voltage protection devices from PHOENIX CONTACT for power supply, measurement and control circuits, and for data and telecommunications interfaces are collectively called TRABTECH (Transient Absorption Technology)
